Evaluating Deterministic BFT Finality within a Confidential UTXO State Machine

Mempool policy should maintain a clear distinction between transaction validity and committee rotation. Changes in committee members must not influence the underlying consensus rules that determine whether transactions are valid. Instead, these rules should remain constant across all nodes, while individual node relay policies, such as fee thresholds, can vary independently. Wallet applications need to adapt by re-evaluating transaction inputs each time the set of confirmed unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) updates, ensuring their behavior aligns with the most current blockchain state.

When seeking improvements in proof throughput, it is crucial to benchmark key components separately. Parsing operations, range-proof verifications, and state update procedures should each be measured independently before making adjustments to cache strategies or memory optimizations. This approach enables precise identification of performance bottlenecks and more effective system tuning.

If batching techniques employ randomized coefficients, it is essential to guarantee that transaction acceptance at the consensus level does not rely on randomness unique to individual nodes. Consensus-critical decisions must be deterministic to avoid inconsistencies across the network. All randomness used for batching should be either globally agreed upon or limited strictly to operations that do not impact validation results, preserving network integrity and security.
