The recent developments in ASIC mining for the Stratumv1 project have shown promising results, leading to an update of the code and documentation on the repository, which can be accessed here. The integration of ASIC mining has introduced a more exciting dynamic into the usage of BitAxe hardware, enhancing the overall mining experience.
Currently, both the traditional CPU-minable faucet addresses and the newly established ASIC-friendly addresses are awarded 3.125 sBTC per block. This parity in block rewards is expected to maintain stability across different mining methods for the foreseeable future. Although there is an indication that CPU-minable addresses might be phased out, there are no immediate plans to implement this change.
The transition towards ASIC mining not only signifies a shift in the technological framework but also suggests a potential reevaluation of strategic approaches to mining within the community. The ongoing adjustments and updates to the system highlight the adaptive nature of cryptocurrency mining landscapes, accommodating newer technologies while still considering the existing setups.
