Deterministic UTXO consolidation under volatile fee regimes

The recent updates to the JSON API have significantly improved the functionality and reliability of cryptocurrency transactions. The enhancements include a new feature that allows users to preview clusters before confirming them, providing a detailed breakdown of UTXO count and total sats per address. This feature is particularly useful as it uses real fetched UTXOs rather than synthetic estimates, giving users a clear view of the potential value merge from the addresses they input. An example provided shows specific data for two addresses, indicating the number of UTXOs and the corresponding sats for each.

Furthermore, the API now includes a 'selection-policy version' and an 'eligible-UTXO-set hash'. These additions ensure that users can verify the consistency of wallet states across sessions. By using a hand-bumped tag on the deterministic classification/selection logic and a sha256 hash over the set of UTXOs actually used in the selection process, the system facilitates a reliable comparison for later reproduction attempts. This means if there is a discrepancy in the results of identical calls, it indicates a genuine change in the wallet state rather than ambiguity in the API's state management.

Despite these advances, it is important to note that the reference Gradio UI has not been updated to reflect these changes. This gap signifies ongoing development challenges in aligning the user interface with backend improvements, emphasizing that some aspects of project integration require additional attention beyond the immediate enhancements to the JSON API. This honest acknowledgment of scope remains unchanged, underscoring the complexity and scale of necessary updates in larger standalone applications.
