Rootstock has implemented a robust system utilizing SPV proofs to facilitate the functionality of its Bitcoin SPV node. This implementation is integral to the Bridge smart contract, which operates on a consensus mechanism and plays a pivotal role in managing peg-ins and peg-outs transactions after they achieve 100 Bitcoin confirmations. The decentralized nature of this system permits any user to contribute by submitting Bitcoin headers, which helps in constructing a comprehensive view of Bitcoin's blockchain as perceived by the Bridge.
