A recent initiative has been taken by members of the Bitcoin development community to contribute further to Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs). Liam has recently submitted a draft for review, which can be accessed and reviewed via this GitHub pull request. Feedback on this submission is highly encouraged to refine the proposal effectively.
In parallel, Sean has noted that work on another draft will commence shortly. This approach follows the guidance outlined in BIP 3, which suggests focusing initially on the draft's content before addressing more complex components such as test vectors. These elements, though crucial, are acknowledged as some of the most challenging aspects of the development process but are not immediately necessary for the initial draft stages. Progress updates will be shared once there is significant advancement on their fork of the BIPs repository.
These developments highlight an ongoing effort within the Bitcoin community to innovate and enhance the protocol through collaborative contributions and structured feedback mechanisms.
